feedingscheme

Daily meals are provided in Feeding Schemes in Ekurhuleni and Mpumalanga for those affected and infected by HIV/AIDS.

With many of the HABSR projects daily meals or Feeding Schemes have been put into action. Children at the various pre-schools and Safe Parks receive meals as well as people selected in the Home Based Care projects. Once a week people in the Dukathole informal settlement, supported by the Bambanani Home Base Care group, are provided with a tub of frozen soup, four slices of bread and a fruit. Some also receive and item of donated clothing. Community food gardens are being created and managed at many of the Safe Parks and pre-school centres. This will help people in poverty areas work in partnership for becoming self sustainable communities.
